In partnership with Minga Skillbuilding Hub we are pleased to share that we'll be offering a DIY Soapmaking Workshop on February 15, 2018 from 6pm-9pm. This is a workshop for folks who want to make soap at home but they need some guidance. The workshop focuses on using materials that you have at home, or can find easily within your community. A few weeks ago, I decided to try switching over to natural deodorant that contains no aluminum or alcohol (you might have seen some of my progress on The Sage Soap Company’s insta stories). I started making the recipe after doing some research on how aluminum compounds in deodorant can potentially put women at risk for breast cancer. Other research (mostly talking to my friends and customers) showed me that a lot of people have sensitivities to mass-consumer products and I wanted to make something that worked for them.
